About the founder

Tereneh Idia founded Idia’Dega in 2013. This eco-design collaboration with the Oneida Indian Nation of New York and Olorgesailie Maasai Women Artisans of Kenya blossomed for many years.

The collaboration presented work in Paris, Copenhagen, Nairobi, Amsterdam, New York, and Pittsburgh at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Natural History Museum, and The Frick Museum Pittsburgh.
